Pembroke Rock Trip

You only have to say Pembroke to a seasoned climber and a smile will appear on their face. Interesting routes on quality rock with an abundance of climbs at all grades, that is what makes Pembrokeshire such a great place to climb. You could describe it as a venue for everybody from the v-diff climber through to the professional.

Over the three days, we will take you on a guided adventure to experience some of the best routes that Pembroke has to offer. You will climb on multi-pitch sea cliff crags to single-pitch classics all while under the guidance of a qualified and experienced mountaineering instructor. Lead climbing instruction is also an optional extra.

YOUR ITINERARY

While we try and stick to the tried and tested itinerary below, the weather sometimes forces a change in our plans. We will always remain as flexible as possible to ensure you get the best out of your time with us.

calendarDay 1

Head out to one of the local sea cliffs to climb some of the finest rock in the UK. We often head down to Porthclais on the first day provided the weather and tide are suitable. Anybody wishing to lead climbs will be given coaching and instruction throughout the day.

Relaxing evening meal at the cottage with some drinks and dessert.

calendarDay 2

Hearty breakfast then back to the crags for a day of multi-pitch climbing. We often go to Saddle Head to climb some of the classic routes like Blue Sky ***(VS4c) and Sea Mist (HS4b). Other areas include Stennin Ford and Stennis Head.

Evening Meal with drinks and dessert.

calendarDay 3

Hearty breakfast then down to the coast to climb at another crag. We often head to the slabs at Carreg Y Barcud or Craig Caerfai to tick off some final classics like Amorican (VS4c) and Caerfai Crack (HS4b)

Please note that this itinerary is just an example and is open to change, weather and tides will often dictate where we can go
