With only a single day on Mountain Leader Training to look at rope work, it's often an area that trainees need more input and direction. Our Rope Work for Mountain Leaders Day is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of using the rope as a Mountain Leader and gain a better understanding of the best practice and techniques.
During the day we will look at
- Equipment - Rope choice, gloves, how to store the rope in your pack.
- Direct and indirect belaying methods.
- Descending using the rope - Classic, South African.
- Confidence roping - Where to use it, when to use it, how to use it effectively.
