course info
The Black Cuillin or Cuillin Ridge as its commonly known offers some of the most spectacular mountaineering to be found in the UK and the combination of craggy mountain tops surrounded by stunning coastline guarantees an experience to remember.
Our Skye Mountaineering week offers five amazing days of mountaineering with the aim of summiting all the Munros on the ridge via the classic routes like the Inn Pinn, Kings Chimney, Am Bastier and Pinnacle ridge. This week offers an experience like no other and is perfect for anybody looking to experience this amazing place where we take care of the decision making and route choice so you can just enjoy back to back days of incredible climbing and adventure.
To join this course you will need some experience scrambling on grade 1 and 2 terrain or have attended our Mountaineering Introduction. The days can be pretty big so we ask that you have a good level of fitness as we often end up walking around 10-15km every day with 1000m of ascent. We often take a rest day on the Wednesday and enjoy a boat trip into Elgol, weather permitting.
Accommodation is not included but Skye has numerous campsites, bunkhouses and guesthouses within a short drive of the ridge so you won't find it hard to find something suitable. For details on places to stay simply email us and we will happily send you details of local accommodation.
We usually base ourselves in Glenbrittle for the week.
