Take your climbing to the next level on our Rock Skills Peak District Course. Designed for climbers with some indoor or outdoor experience, this two-day course will help you build the skills and confidence needed to become a more capable and independent outdoor climber.

Set on the iconic gritstone crags of the Peak District, you'll develop your climbing technique on real rock while learning essential ropework, anchor building, equipment selection and climbing systems. Through expert coaching and hands-on practice, you'll gain the knowledge needed to safely set up top-rope and bottom-rope systems and begin your journey towards leading your own climbs.

Over two action-packed days, you'll receive expert coaching and hands-on experience across the key areas of outdoor climbing development:

Foundation Skills – Build confidence with essential climbing systems, including equipment selection, tying in, belaying techniques and safe crag practices.
Technical Skills – Learn how traditional protection works, develop skills in placing gear, build secure anchors and understand fundamental rope systems.
Movement Skills – Improve your climbing technique through personalised coaching, movement masterclasses and confidence-building exercises on real rock.
Problem Solving – Develop the skills and judgement needed to overcome common climbing challenges and make safe decisions at the crag.
Independence Skills – Learn how to set up and manage both bottom-rope and top-rope climbing systems, helping you take the next steps towards becoming a more self-sufficient climber.

By the end of the course, you'll have a stronger understanding of outdoor climbing systems, improved movement on rock and the confidence to climb more independently.
