Course Info
A traverse of the Black Cuillin on the Isle of Skye is well known as one of the greatest mountaineering challenges in the UK and it's easy to see why. Steep rock faces, airy ridges and numerous abseils make for an incredible mountain journey with a bivouac halfway to separate the exhausting two-day traverse. Think you have what it takes?
Our Guided Cuillin Ridge Traverse covers seven miles of challenging mountain terrain, 11 Munros and 13,000ft of ascent with climbing up to 'diff' in boots. You will need a good level of fitness, some previous mountaineering experience and the ability to keep going for 12+ hours over two days - all of this with an overnight bivouac. This is an amazing life-punctuating experience but not one to underestimate.
