Prepare for your dream alpine adventure with our comprehensive Alpine Preparation Course, perfect for climbers planning a guided ascent of iconic peaks such as Mont Blanc, Gran Paradiso, the Eiger, or the Matterhorn.
This intensive course is designed to equip you with the essential alpine mountaineering skills needed to safely and confidently climb under the guidance of a professional. You'll train in real mountain environments and cover critical techniques including:
Efficient movement in boots
Basic climbing and scrambling skills
Use of crampons and ice axes
Abseiling and down-climbing
Layering systems and cold weather management
Selecting the right gear (boots, clothing, harnesses, etc.)
Throughout the course, you'll experience 2 or 3 physically demanding days on varied mountain terrain to help you understand the physical and technical demands of guided climbs in the Alps.
Developed in partnership with our trusted guides in Chamonix, this course ensures you're fully prepared for guided ascents across the Alps. Whether you're aiming for Mont Blanc or tackling your first 4,000m peak, this training is an ideal foundation.
